The 4th edition of Sound Walk, a collective and original instalation, gives the visitors of the Belém Arts Centre, from 9 to 14 September, an immersion in the 25 soundscapes chosen out of the 149 received.

DAQUI E DE OUTROS LUGARES, TERRITÓRIOS DA INVENÇÃO MUSICAL

With the context of the works presented in this edition of the Musica Viva Festival, the composer Bertrand Dubedout invites us on a journey to the origins of his musical invention. Poetic sources such as Andre du Bouchet and sources from the Far East as the traditional music of Japan, the rituals of Japanese Buddhism, or the mantras and the pantheon of Hindu and Vedic India.

Alex Nowitz / Barbara Luneburg

Homo Ludens and Flashlight are two unique projects, by virtuous interpreters around the idea of interactivity. Both these projects were awarded in the contest European LiveElectronic Music Competition for Projects 2009 and 2010 the European Conference of Promoters of New Music in co-production with the Miso Music Portugal. Homo Ludens, by Alex Nowitz is a vocal performance using the interactive control interfaces developed in STEIM: Wii's and Shells. Flashlight by Barbara Lüneburg is an interactive audiovisual performance resulting from the collaboration with several composers and performers of the newest generation for violin, electronics, video, light and laser projection.
